Bendix ACom AE Software

The factory window into Bendix braking — from wheel-speed sensors to Wingman radar, tractor and trailer.

ACom AE turns ABS lamps from inspection failures into ten-minute fixes. With Wingman calibration now documented work after every windshield job, ACom has quietly become a revenue tool, not just a diagnostic one.

What Bendix ACom AE can do

  • ABS diagnostics — EC-60/EC-80 controllers, wheel-speed sensors, modulator valves.
  • ESP stability system diagnostics and sensor calibration.
  • Trailer ABS via PLC — read trailer faults through the 7-way without crawling underneath.
  • Wingman Fusion radar aim verification and camera calibration documentation (calibration license).
  • Valve actuation tests — find the leaking modulator in minutes, not hours.

System requirements & supported adapters

Windows 10/11, any RP1210C adapter for tractor work, plus a PLC adapter ($189) for trailer ABS through the 7-way. Wingman calibration additionally requires target stands — we sell the full kit.

Installation: DIY vs pre-configured

Simple installer, license key, done. The Wingman calibration license activates within the same ACom install — no separate software.

Free remote install is included with every software-only order — a technician handles activation with you on a screen-share.

Renewal cost and what happens if it lapses

$495/yr base, $790 with Wingman. Bendix licenses are subscription-based and stop updating when lapsed, but existing installs keep functioning.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can ACom read trailer ABS codes without a trailer-side connection?

Yes — via PLC over the 7-way with the PLC adapter. Bendix and WABCO trailer modules both respond; Haldex requires its own interface. Full map on the trailer diagnostics hub.

Do I legally need documented Wingman calibration?

Not federally mandated, but fleet insurers and increasingly OE warranty terms require documented calibration after windshield or front-end collision work. Shops without the capability are subletting $300–$500 jobs.

Does ACom work on WABCO systems?

No — WABCO uses TOOLBOX Plus. Mixed fleets need both; they're cheap enough that the pair costs less than one engine-software license.
