Truck ADAS Calibration Tools

Radar and camera systems on every new truck — and a calibration requirement after every windshield, bumper and alignment job. The fastest-growing diagnostic revenue category.

Get setup advice

Automatic emergency braking and lane systems are now standard on Class 8 tractors, and every glass replacement, front-end repair or alignment triggers a calibration requirement. Shops with the capability bill $300–$600 per calibration; shops without it sublet the work and lose the customer moment.

Getting set up

Entry path: if you already own Bendix ACom, the calibration license is a $295/yr add-on with documented procedures. Multi-brand shops should evaluate TEXA's ADAS packages — the deepest integrated truck-ADAS tooling available. Documented calibration is the product: insurers and fleets require the paper trail, which is exactly what these tools generate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is truck ADAS calibration legally required?

Not federally mandated, but required by OE repair procedures, fleet policies and increasingly by insurers after any front-end or windshield work. Performing it without documentation is the liability risk — the tools' documentation is the point.

What space do I need for calibration?

Radar calibrations need level ground and target distances of 2–5 meters; camera calibrations need controlled lighting and precise target placement. A standard bay works for most procedures.
